High knees

Execution

  • Stand up straight with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  • Look ahead and make sure your chest is lifted.
  • Bend one knee and bring it up slightly above your waist.
  • Bring your foot back down and repeat with the other leg.
  • Now speed up the motion.

Points of attention

  • Keep your chest lifted.
  • Keep your core engaged.

PROGRESSION

Increase the tempo.

REGRESSION
  • Decrease the tempo.
  • Lift your knee to just under just hips.
